Master Gardener, help me be
Content with where You’ve planted me;
You carefully place each seed you sow,
And choose the soil to make it grow,
A shady nook or sunlit plot,
A wooded glen or garden spot;
And when you send the storm and shower,
You give me strength and inner power;
All things come that You might be
Glorified, my God, in me;
And so I’ll lift my flowers high,
To cheer and bless each passerby;
And may they see within my face
The beauty of Your love and grace;
So help me, Lord, to ever be
Blooming where You planted me.

I hope you can take a fresh look around and learn to bloom just where you are planted.
What a beautiful analogy Michelle, thanks for the thought for today for me.
ReplyDeleteOh no, you can't pull that up. I love it when I'm driving around town and see a flower growing out of the cement.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture and this blog :). Really glad you didn't pull it up! Letting it stay is a reminder of blooming where we're planted, but also a reminder of sometimes things can't be "perfect", but a little imperfection (flower in the middle of a walkway) makes life beautiful :).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that pansy grew between bricks. Wow! Just goes to show God's beauty can't be crowded out. I love this lesson. Bloom where we're planted - Amen! Thanks for the encouragement today Michelle :)
ReplyDeleteI wish my weeds growing up through our brick patio had that beautiful bloom!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

Just beautiful! Carla
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you what good timing this post is! (& beautiful! :-)) We may have another move by the end of the summer. *sigh* It's kind of a secret still, & we have no details, but it's being brought up. So yeah, more blooming where I'm planted, even when it's not where I'd choose...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely analogy! You're 100% correct, once you accept where you've been planted, blooming seems like the next logical step. So glad that little flower made it and you're leaving him there to grow.
