It is that time of year again, when football season is in full swing. We had game 3 last night of my son's JV season. I still marvel at the fact that I have a football player. He spent so many years playing baseball, practically year round, and never playing even little league football. Now he is playing his 2nd season of football and loves it completely. He has scored in every game this season and looks like he might end up a pretty decent player.
And he wears these badges of honor with pride (they are cleat marks.)
Something I (the Mom) don't quite understand....
Eeps! That makes me want my boys to stay little forever! I know you are a proud momma though...maybe mine would rather play tennis (fingers crossed!)
ReplyDeleteOUCH! I don't understand it either.... but then again, thankgoodness I'm not a mother of boys! I just wouldn't know what to do with all of those protective feelings and emotions!
ReplyDeleteCleat marks on his arms? Ouch. He must've been on the bottom of a pile-on.
ReplyDeleteYou've got a tough young man! Hope he continues to have a great season. And congrats on his TDs!!
my friday nights of high school used to be spent at football games
ReplyDeleteI love this to pieces!!! :-D Will has his very first 7/8 yr old tackle football game next Saturday, the 17th! (And he has a few bruises already from practice! :-P)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today!! It's great to be back:)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting....my son, at 17 only plays xbox, lol!
ps: don't forget to swing by tomorrow for my blogaversary giveaway!!
So glad that he is enjoying football. Makes it exciting. Love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThe boys of fall are dear to my heart. Glad he is doing so well Michelle and enjoying the time. That's the most important part of all of this, enjoying the sport and learning the values it offers. The statistics are forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI am glad he is enjoying it. And scoring every game. Boys think things are great that I will never understand.
